Robert H. Ewald – Owner, President, Auctioneer, Broker
Robert Ewald is the founder and president of Ewald Auctions, Inc. Through his leadership and the support of the firm, we are confident of the handling of all our clients’ affairs.
Mr. Ewald received his B.S. from the University of Florida in 1985. He earned his Florida auctioneer’s license in 1992 from the Florida Auction Academy in Orlando. He achieved his real estate salesperson’s license in 1996 from TASK academy and his real estate broker’s designation in 1999 through IFREC. In 1999, he started his own firm in order to be able to better serve the client base he has spent the last 23 years developing.
Mr. Ewald began his auction career in May 1992 while managing a bankruptcy law firm that specialized in business closings and asset liquidations. His responsibilities included overseeing bankruptcy estate assets which were sold through various proceedings including auctions. While working at the law firm, he made his auction expertise available to other legal and banking professionals in the Florida market with credible success. Over the next eleven years, his involvement with two independent auction companies allowed him to specialize in residential and commercial liquidations. During that time, he became familiar with Receiverships, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, probate estate sales and the sale of real property via the auction method of marketing. To date, he has sold assets totaling over $100,000,000 via the auction method of marketing.
Mr. Ewald has extensive experience in appraisal work having prepared over 1,500 personal property appraisals for bankruptcy, insurance, and estate planning purposes. He has been admitted in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle and Southern District of Florida as an expert witness on numerous occasions. His expertise in personal property, furniture, fixtures and equipment appraisals provides our clients’ with complete service.
His background in the legal and financial fields, as well as in the management of various firms, makes him especially qualified to assist his clients in proper marketing methods for their assets insuring that the best possible results are obtained. He has worked in Federal Bankruptcy Court and State Court as a Receiver and has assisted Trustees and Receivers throughout Florida in conducting successful auction campaigns.
His civic involvement is quite extensive as well. He has been an active Rotarian in Orlando for the last 21 years, having been the President of his club twice, Foundation Chair, Vice President, Golf Tournament Committee Chair and Chairman or Co-Chairman of the Orlando Street Painting Festival which, combined, have raised over $250,000 for local, national and international charities. He has been the four time President of the Timber Creek Athletic Booster Club, Chairman of the Waterford Elementary School Advisory Committee and has helped raise over $450,000 during the last twenty years for the various schools in the area. He is a 20 year member of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association and the National Auctioneers Association.

Tammy Ewald – Operations Manager, Bookkeeper, Broker
Tammy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Florida in 1982. After working in retail, as an insurance adjuster and managing a large medical office, she changed her focus into a successful career in real estate. Tammy received her Real Estate Sales License in 2005 and her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2009. She now works with Ewald Auctions and brings her expertise to our team. . Tammy serves as our Operations Manager handling the day to day tasks that keep the company running behind the scenes as well as Auction Day. Her expertise in the Real Estate market helps Ewald Auctions create a specific marketing plan which can help maximize the dollar amount earned for your property.
Travis Ewald – Auctioneers Apprentice, Project Manager, Real Estate Sales Associate
Travis Ewald graduated with a B.A. from the University of Florida in 2012. He earned his real estate license in 2006, just out of high school. After graduating from the University of Florida, he decided to join the family business. He is the new Auctioneer Apprentice for Ewald Auctions. He worked as a Property Manager through college and has a background in real estate, property management, and auctions. Travis has spent his life watching and helping Bob set up, and execute auctions. He knows the business well and is ready to take the next step by obtaining his Auctioneer License and assisting in taking Ewald Auctions to the next level.
Shelly Hussey – Office Manager, Project Manager
Shelly has been with Ewald Auctions since 2009 and works in the administrative and project management side of the business. Shelly has an Associates degree as an Administrative Assistant from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She organizes and sets up inventory for auctions, takes pictures for on line bidding, manages the email program and sets up and works the trailer for auction day. Her attention to detail is unmatched and she uses her expertise to help make our sales run smoothly. She runs our onsite office and is loved by everyone she deals with in business.
Amy Holmes – Proxibid Specialist
Amy has been with Ewald Auctions since 2010. Amy has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and a MBA from University of Louisville. She has been through Proxibid training and helps Ewald Auctions keep up with the evolving technological market. She handles all online bids during the auctions and has a keen grasp on any and all technological dealings in today’s auction market. Her ability to think quickly on her feet makes her an excellent addition to our team.
Judy Howard – Clerk, Real Estate Sales Associate
Judy joined Ewald Auctions in 2010 after living in England for three years with her family. Judy graduated with a B.A. from Florida State University in 1987. She has experience working in Hotels and Hospitality before earning her real estate license in 2007. Judy is our head clerk during auctions, works check in and check out and runs our open houses. Judy’s pleasant demeanor and expertise in customer service makes her a great asset to our behind the scenes crew.
Trevor Ewald – Proxibid Specialist, Auction Staff, Ringman
Trevor works full time for the Orlando Fire Department, attends UCF and works part time for Ewald Auctions. He has the online training and Proxibid knowledge to help market our sales across the globe. He also serves as a Ringman at our auctions. Trevor helps ensure the sale is ready by working on site to organize our inventory as well as day of sale assisting in many aspects of auction day. Having grown up in the auction business Trevor has a very good understanding of the entire auction process.
Garrett Hussey – Auction Staff, Ringman
Garrett is currently a student at UCF studying Mathematics. He is an essential team member and one of our lead Ringman at auctions. He works setting up auctions and helps ensure that every detail of a sale is covered prior to an auction taking place. Garrett’s knowledge of the auction process and meticulous nature make him an excellent addition to our staff.
Bryan Holmes – Auction Staff, Ringman
Bryan is currently a student at UCF studying criminology. He is an essential part of our Auction set up team. He helps ensure every detail of a sale is put in place, and assists the auctioneer by spotting bids. Bryan’s attention to detail and great customer service skills makes him a great addition to our staff.
Talley Ewald – Clerk, Auction Staff
Talley is currently studying elementary education at the University of Florida. She assists Ewald Auctions on auction day by clerking and working in the office. She has grown up around the auction business and helps ensure that our sales run smoothly.
